Vincent Lin – Director, Studio Egret West
Vincent is a Director at the acclaimed London-based practice Studio Egret West. With over 15 years of experience in architecture and urban design, he plays a pivotal role in some of the UK’s most progressive and impactful regeneration projects.
Vincent has led the design of high-profile schemes across a wide range of sectors, including transport, infrastructure, mixed-use developments, adaptive reuse, tall buildings, and urban masterplans. His strengths lie in understanding the intricacies of complex sites and buildings, and in fostering collaboration among multidisciplinary teams — from specialist contractors to consultants and local communities.
A passionate advocate for place-led transformation, Vincent’s work demonstrates how thoughtful design can enrich everyday life and create long-term urban value. He has worked extensively with Transport for London (TfL), leading strategic feasibility studies that have unlocked underused car parks and rail infrastructure for high-density housing adjacent to key transport interchanges.
He is currently spearheading Space Croydon, a landmark scheme that reimagines Apollo and Lunar House — two iconic 1970s office towers formerly occupied by the Home Office — into 585 high-quality new homes. As the UK’s largest office-to-residential conversion under permitted development rights, the project both revitalises and honours Croydon’s bold brutalist legacy.
Vincent champions an integrated, sustainable approach that bridges architecture, landscape, and urbanism. He regularly contributes to design review panels and public forums, promoting the idea that design excellence stems from clear vision, collaborative processes, and deep contextual understanding — from large-scale masterplans to the most intimate public spaces.
