University of Sheffield / Arup

Miriam works at the intersection of industry projects, research and policy to reduce embodied carbon and enable the circular economy. She also looks to practically apply principles on projects through structural and sustainability consultancy, including leading Arup's structural engineering sustainability hub. Meanwhile her research with the University of Sheffield explores enabling whole life carbon reduction and developing a circular economy through policy. This aims to assess the prevalence of policy across the UK, understand the impact and explore key routes to practical implementation at both local and national levels.
